I’M MISS JM.
I’m a Filipina who loves fine and dark chocolates, meaningful conversations, and creating creative lifestyle stories with the heart to find and share hope in every season, whether through written projects, photography, or talks.
During my early 20s, I didn’t know that my fondness for travel and photography would take me to new and exciting opportunities. My shy and young self would never have imagined that I’d be able to write and take photos for different publications and companies, co-host a radio show and have a travel segment, host events, and eventually give talks.
But behind all of these wonderful blessings, were a series of afflictions and adversities. Within a decade I lost my mom to colorectal cancer, I was in an overall turmoil while recovering and adjusting from the loss, and there were unpredictabilities at work and conflicts in relationships. To add to this, I was also physically challenged with (a now healed) recurrent corneal abrasion and sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
Throughout those trying seasons, I had a clearer understanding of what people who go through bereavements, heartbreaks, and depression are experiencing. With all the uncertainties and brokenness in this world, I recognized how we all need hope. And to find and share this hope has now become the very heart of this online home, whether through Hearty Living (lifestyle themed blogs), Inspirations (inspirational people and happenings), Travel Notes (places and experiences), or Episodes of Grace (personal journey and lessons).
This online home is dedicated to creating creative lifestyle stories with the heart to find and share in every season.
So while you’re here, I pray you’ll discover something meaningful and transformative, which will also provide hope to you and even to others around you. The source of my hope supplied me with much-needed strength amidst my inner exhaustion and human weaknesses. I know that as you sincerely open your heart, He too can be your hope and strength.
